| Report: | Another count-back win for 1sts and another count-back (on points) loss for 2nds.
Tight matches in all ties. Zeb and Mark look to have had a tough one, but unable to comment further other than to say Zeb was struggling at the end of a long day coaching.
Gina injured this week so the author took on Jack. A very competitive match. The author off to a good start, but finding himself undone yet again by this bl**dy scoring system! To top it all off 5 games balls spurned from 10-6 up in the 4th. Grrr.
Billy in harness at 3 this week against Paul. The usual effort-fest from Paul, who yet again ran himself ragged chasing down everything. Billy managed to eliminate the mistakes at the end of the first two games to claw back and win in 5. A great effort, but full marks to Paul again. New racket required though sadly!
At 4 Nick took on DC who enjoys PAR as much as the author. Nick hauled himself back from a long way down to sneak the 1st. Honours even in the next two and Nick again with a comeback in the 4th and deciding game.
Another late finish for short handed teams, with DC hoovering up food like he'd never eaten before. |
