| Report: | Yet another fiasco from BLTC 1sts on a Tuesday match night.
On a very hot evening, and the late withdrawal of BLTC no1 'the mighty Jeal' reduced us from an already 3 man team, to a 2 man team - great!
The opposition kindly agreed to field a team anyway.
Dave v Tim:
Can't really say much about this as I was playing on the other court.
Suffice to say, they marked it themselves and by all accounts, was an enjoyable encounter. Dave never really in with a chance, however, Tim made it into a decent match. Dave managing to blind side Tim once to gain, what could be, a valuable point.
Mac v Antonio:
Again marked by ourselves. Court was way too warm and bouncy for the 'old man', and constant hard hitting by Antonio proved too much overall. Still, another valuable point gained.
Thanks to the opposition for turning up. Very few drinks and a couple of stodgy pizzas, finished the evening off. Bar bill was £12.00 - must be some sort of record! |
