| Report: | First up Andy v Mark
From what I saw of this one it looked like two wily old players battling it out. Andy took a breather in the 3rd but other than that pulled through.
Onto Nick v Luis
This was a game with a lot of traffic issues causing the marker to earn his pay. The first two games Luis had good runs to win. Nick was able to dig-in and win the third from then on it looked that the fitness factor took over and Nick was able to win against a less mobile Luis.
Anthony v Tim
Anthony was up for this one. Playing on court four is not everyone’s cup of tea but Anthony was able to out play Tim.
Sam v Hugo
Sam coming back from a short break. Sam started strongly taking the first game in fine style not allowing Hugo to settle. Hugo recent good form served him well, using to Sam’s pace against him taking the next three games as Sam’s lack of match play showed.
Finally Shil v Faizan
This was a cracking match Shil eager to maintain his unbeaten record was nip and tuck in the first. Some fantastic retrieving by Faizan negated Shil good shots. Shil’s use of the reverse angle was used to good effect and as the game progressed started leaving Faizan in the rear view mirror.
A great match all round, Nick’s fight back from 2-0 down won us the match against a solid Bromley LTC team, Inflicting their first loss of the season (sorry to rub it in) well done PL.
