Report: | First up skip v Callum - 5-5 first game, one hand out, 9-5 to Callum, same in second, 3-9 third. Skip first game for 3 months, not quick enough for Callum who was very quick, steady on volleys and back hand. Nick played with pulled calf and hd to stop in the second - Nick's calf is normally the size of most peoples waist, now double the size. 3-0 to Will. Stewart went 9-3 down first game - completely out of touch with Ryan, quick, pacey and forcing Stewart into mistakes. Some quick drugs between games to steady the diabetes and second game much closer, although 9-7 to Ryan. Third game close but Stewart won 9-7. Stewart gradually took control with some excellent retrieving and Ryans. turn to make un-forced errors - 3-2 to Stewart - very close match. Steve the man took on Tom Hazzard - well Tom played like a super star, volleying, good lengths, accurate drops, good movement and despite Steve playing some excellent squash, Tom won nearly all the long rallies. Steve a Chelsea fanatic beaten by a Hazzard!!! Final match, keeley v David Seamons - Keeely started well, playing tight and consistent squash and despite David's agility round the court, Keeley took the first 9-3. David rallied back in the 2nd, his long arms reaching everything, Keeley picking wrong shots and David winning 9-6. Keeley tightened up in the third, picked up the pace, varied her shots and kept David running all over the place and eventually running out of steam- Keely winning the last two games 9-2, 9-3. What's with all these football names? A good match, deserved win for Mote. |
