| Report: | A good evening with some very good matches and we even had a mascot/support from Clive London.Jess played the best squash I have ever seen her play -dad must have had a positive influence -join us again Clive.Sandra had a relaxed day away from school and also provided one of her best performances and whilst Sandie put up a good fight she was soundly beaten. Vanessa and Helen were both feeling under the weather with bugs and neither were looking forward to a hard game.Vanessa had a long battle with Alison and finally lost in the fifth.Similarly Helen had an epic with Lisa which ended up with Helen just hitting the top of the tin on the last shot to lose 10/9 in the fifth.Both matches were very enjoyable.I did not see any of Claire's game but Cathy said it was very skilful and both players were extremely polite and nice to each other(as if the rest of us would not be!!!!!)We were all relieved that there was no repeat of the summer match where 2 Bromley players got hit with a racket -one needing hospital attention.Look forward to the return match |
