| Report: | Match of the night was the game between the Number 2s. Sue v. Alison. It was a long, hard-fought battle. Sue took the first 2 games 9-7 and 9-2. It was looking good for a 4-1 victory to Knole Park. However, Alison had other ideas and took the next game fairly comfortably. We then saw some excellent squash with long rallies over the next 2 games. Sue was ahead with match points at 8-3 and 8-2 in games 4 & 5 but couldn't pull it off against a resilient and tough Alison who deserved her victory. Well played to both number 2s for giving us some excellent squash to watch, even if it did take them until 10pm to finish the game! |
