| Report: | Beckenham starts the winter season with a win!! Cathy proved much too strong for Mars at 1, then Alison started slowly against Helen but came through to take the match. Nicola and Glenda had a marvellous tussle for the points, but Glenda claimed victory with 9/7 in the 5th. Jenny also had a close match with Andrea, losing 9/7 in the 5th. Katy and Lynn were last on court and Katy, recently returned from working in Canterbury, managed to win the contest to confirm the victory to Beckenham before all retired to the bar for rounds of drinks and fish 'n chips.
