| Report: | We started the match with the no.1s and 5s playing. Alison played well against Sue, taking 2 games to 10, but Sue managed to tip the balance in her favour to win 3-1. Maggie and Jane had a thoroughly enjoyable game, though Jane ended up without any reward for her efforts. Jenny was beaten by Lorrie 0-3, then Nicola raced into a 2 game lead against Sheena. However, just when she thought she had the match in the bag, Sheena warmed up and came storming back to win. Tracy had been held up at work and had endured a tedius journey home, so she wasn't in the mood for spending too much time on the squash court, particularly as the supper was nearly ready, and dispatched her opponent as quickly as possible.
Another thoroughly enjoyable evening even though our team came second. |
