| Report: | Bromley LTC ladies were disadvantaged from the off, not only because they were a player down, but because their courts had just been plastered and were still being painted, and had been warned that they would have to clean the floors before we played!!! So, Beckenham ladies turned up to find the girls towelling down the two courts before we could play. Furthermore, the fumes from the still wet paint were enough to reduce poor Jane to a coughing spluttering concession in the fourth after three strongly fought games against Mira. Lorrie gave Tracy a run for her money but Tracy took the third game with a very close 10/9 finish. Nicola and Sheena's game was going either way with both girls running for everything with a very even and well matched game, but I think tiredness and the fumes finally took their toll and the fifth game finished them both off for the evening! Janet and Alison, again very well matched (both left handers) provided a fast and hard 5 game match, finally going to Janet.
