| Report: | After turing out on a bitterly cold night we (Mote) received a very warm welcome at Knole Park. Emily and Juli played first and it was a game of two distinct halves with Juli serving and lobing perfectly to gain a 2-0 lead. However Emily persevered and by asserting her own game turned the match around to secure victory. The second match between Muriel and Mags was another tight match. Their games were very similar thus providing some very exciting points (but the problem with the ball which unfortunately was only spotted afterwards meant drives were hard and drops were the order of the day). Nicky and Adrea played some beautiful squash but Andrea's tightness of shot proved decisive. Vicky and Claire too had a most enjoyable game (but must remember both to talk less!!) Sue and Sharon met once more and Sharon played a Captain's game. However the good humour and hospitality were what made the evening enjoyable and Mote look forward to returning this in the new year. |
