| Away Report: | First time out for Craig who snatched the first game while Henry was still sorting through his range of classy shots. Unfortunately for Craig, who battled well, the classy shots came thick and fast in the next 3 games. Meanwhile Howard was moving well and almost grabbed the first game. Then reaction took over before he actually won the third. Gary seemed to have more in reserve though and this became apparent in the 4th. A very similar scenario between Mike and Tim: a close first that could have gone either way, Tim then being caught with Mike's changes of shot then Tim stretching Mike with better width and depth. Finally Mike came back with determination. Brian took on Rich who as always played consistent, good length squash. Match-rusty Brian, although with flashes of the old brilliance, made too many unforced errors and the result was inevitable. Pascal seemed to be back on form against Luis, also a bit match-rusty, in the last match of the evening. Luis was never quite in the groove but that's where Pascal gets you, isn't it? Sadly a low haul of points for Bromley but the games were closer than the result suggests. As usual great food at Sundridge Pk for which many thanks. |
