Report: | With superstar Paul back Bexley turned up pretty confident ... ooops!!
Well it started nicely, with Paul putting injuries behind him against Sam in double quick time.
Peter also put his recent injuries woes to rest on the other court out-witting new signing Marc with tricky boasts and (dare i say) age-defying retrieving!!!
Next up was Cap Slack vs Limpsfield team mate Rich. Close fought game with both players resigned to the fact they have absolutely no drops in their arsenal!!! The cunning tactic of waiting for Slack to attempt a ridiculous kill appeared to be working until inspiration hit Matt (in the form of his rebounding racket off the wall). Lucky escape
Matt G vrs Dave was unfortunately missed by myself but Matt tells me a two week trip to Thailand, landing the morning of the match doesn't inspire great squash!!
So with the match tied at 2-2, an onslaught between Steve and Ted. At 10.45, 2 games all and clearly past Ted's bedtime I'd have thought the only decent thing to do would have been haul Ted off court and send him home to bed. Unfortunately it was actually past Steve's!!
Oh well. First loss! Is it too early to write off Bexleys chances of the title just like Liverpool's were written off last week? ... lets see.
Final mention to the Debt Collector who didn't reply to Richard or my texts on Tuesday night. Were you the only person to lose Ray? TTT and AFGB must have been a total nightmare!!!
