| Report: | A maiden victory for Vic over arch rival (and new pensioner) John marked a nail-biting overall win for Knole. Rusty Will managed to squeeze a win from tricky and dogged Joseph. Sam recovered from a blip in the second game to efficiently despatch Brexiting Marijn (just when we had almost got to grips with pronouncing his name). Rahul who may or may not be playing below his true status (and doesn't yet quite understand the let/stroke dichotomy - according to his Captain) made short work of Chris. And finally one-hip Mike just edged one-knee Gareth in the battle of the straight liners - don't expect any sharp turns from either of them this season.
Knole satisfied with only their second win of the season - and delighted to have 5 'legible' players now the slate is clean again. |
