Report

Report:Bottom of the table clash last night as PL entertained Sundridge Park.

Zeb v Mark
Didn't see anything this as on court next door, but judging by the scoreline it looks to have been a fairly routine controlled performance by Zeb to take it 3-0 with something to spare.

Jack v Ken
Again, didn't see anything of this due to marking duties. Jack in the driving seat to take it pretty comfortably.

Author v Ray
Despite the effects of having to mark James M v Matt (more of which later), the author did enough to ease through in three, despite some tricky boasts and reverse angles thrown in by Ray, particularly in the 3rd.

James F v Tekin
More comprehensive reporting here - marking next door through this one too! James doing enough to take it in three, with only the 3rd looking to be close.

James M v Matt
This was the piece de resistance of the evening. Sitting here now, I'm still not quite sure I've got over having to mark this! Nearly a counselling required job. James was doing his best to take over the Steve Pratt mantle of ten years ago with this performance.
A really scruffy match with both players hitting the ball all over the place. Matt seemed to think a stroke was in the offing from every ball that went within three yards (old school) of James regardless, and James did his best to oblige by contriving to hit the ball back at himself for a high percentage of the match.
Truly dire stuff, but thankfully James did actually play the right shots at the end of three of the four games - the exception being the 3rd where he decided he didn't like the look of three match balls, the first of which had sitter written all over it.
