| Report: | The day started fine until a player dropped out in the morning for Bromley. However that left all day to contact the reserves but to no avail either can't make it, already playing or not in a fit state due to Xmas excesses. So one down before we started. First on were the 2's and 4's Steve not being well wanted to finish his game quickly which he did, can't comment further as I was on the other court. Bexley brought out a new player for us from Wales via Loughborough Uni. First two games Mark won in dominant fashion. However he hadn't met the wiles of Tubby Tel before and lost the next two as easily as he won the first two. Down to the decider and Mark dominated again though tubby did try to come back late in the game but to no avail. So the 3's went on next for three close games up to 5 or 6 all, but in each game Rob put away the next few points to win both the games and the match. Good to get Rob back playing after his injury but not for Ron. Finally Ian and Matt took court for some fine squash with winners and great retrieving from both players, definitely the match of the night. However unfortunately for Ian and Bromley Matt managed to squeeze the win in the fifth. |
