Report

Report:Whilst having a little run out with Squashboy last Saturday down at Cannons,I did pick up on a little rumour going around (probably the Sly Fox again!) That BLT had a hot new number 1 who in Keith Palmers words 'Is only likely to lose to one other number one in the Priory' Rent Boy was duly primed and ready by Tuesday.
Anyway of the Hill lads trotted down to BLT.No sign of Tinky Winky, Dipsy,La La or Pou but we did bump in to Tubby Tel.

Rent Boy v Colin (Sweaty Sock one)
With the courts freshly re furbished, Torvill & Dean would have been better equiped for the floors. They certainly would have glided around the courts more gracefully than Rent Boy in the first few points but once he got his feet planted the rallies extended and full control of the T was Taken.First game to Rent Boy 9-3. The next two games had some good working rallies with both lads showing good control but Rent Boy always seemed to be in command running through 9-1 9-1.

A Good Few Beers v The Teacher
Now at this point the Debt Collector was due on But AGFB literally nicked my shoes off my feet claiming his were in the boot of his car!
Only saw the first couple of points of this one, one of which AGFB got some great wheelspin before nose diving onto his face (I blame lack of grip from the shoes) This was over very quickly with the Teacher making a number of unforced errors and AGFB doing the opposite. 3-0 to AGFB.

Debt Collector v Tubby Tel
With my shoes being taken off my feet I was left with no option but to take Keiths shoes off his.
Again a quick match with TT not finding his usual deft touch at the front. What made things worse for TT was the fact that he abandoned his usual 20 year old Prince Extender for an up to date version, the result was he couldn't keep a ball in court due to all that extra power.Back to the teardrop mate. 3-0 to DC.

Audit Alex v Keith
No sign of the usual carefree squash from Alex that we are used to,tonight he was on a mission.
First 2 games going 9-0 9-0 and 5-0 in the third before Keith getting on the scoresheet. 3-0 to Alex.
Can't remember who's Shoes Keith wore!

Camp,Ninja Deano v Ron (Sweaty Sock Two)
With Laney playing for the cops and Mac going awol, a new recruit was drafted in and with Ron provided the most entertainment both in the squash and the banter. 3-0 to CND but plenty of camp shots played before the 'don't mess with me' Ninja bandana was brought out.

So a big win for the Hill but more importantly I discovered something Rent Boy isn't good at on the Pool table afterwards. The last time I saw things bouncing around like the balls were was in the Dambusters.
(bet you can't remember the code name given to the bouncing bomb in 1943 Tel)
