James v Samantha,James was drafted in at the last minute as trevor was still missing and duly strided passed sam like a strole in the park 3-0 James.
NO2 Dave v Ted, Ted was up for this game and in the warm up looked great!Then dave walked on the court and showed the boy how this game should be played,good effort tho ted give it a year and try again.
NO3 Captain Andy v Rich, Andy still suffering an injured ankle put up a brave fight but rich was too good with some luvley boasts 3-0 rich
NO4 Fat boy Nick v peter, Fat boy was primmed that this was the game he must win and having beaten peter before he was ready for battle.Peter played a steady game with some great drops to take a two game lead,nick then found his game with his own drops to take the third,at 7-1 up in the fourth nick made five mistakes on the trot and PW was back in it,Peter then taking the game and match 3-1.
NO5 jon v darren These two play against each other on a regular basis so know the game before the start.Darren starting from the blocks like a greyhound 9-1 first game.Change of play john started to work hard and increase the rallies to take the second 9-3.The third went the same way jon not easing up 9-3. The fourth jon was in full control and looked very comfortable 9-5 and the match for parklangley.
Cannons missing Dave Leach at 4 were slightly weaker than usual but a win is a win. |
