| Report: | Tough opener against Bexley, with PL on reduced rations on the team line-up front (for the season!).
Jack M v Ben
Scoreline doesn't look too positive but Jack felt it'd been a pretty good match (didn't see any of it).
Author v Jack B
Same old story here. Too many mistakes! A decent match with Jack holding the upper hand where it mattered - the end of the games.
Paul v Matt
A very slow start for Matt, but once in the groove he had Paul scurrying hither and thither. Paul lost the plot in the 2nd and 3rd but from 2-10 down in the 4th until the end of the match he got right back into it and really made Matt win it. Some gruelling rallies, with Paul a bit unlucky not to convert a 9-5 lead in the 4th to take it to a 5th.
James v Kieran
A very tight one all the way through. Didn't see an awful lot of it (other than via peripheral vision from marking next door) but James just slightly lost momentum towards the end of the match, and seemed to be beating himself up a little too much. A valiant effort to save face for the team nonetheless. |
