Report

Report:A hot evening with a full house of PL teams at home (2nd v 3rds and 5ths at ODs as well) as PL1 entertained BLTC.

Mitterer v London jnr
The turncoat dominated this from a score perspective whilst probably doing more of the work. Jack was taking the ball very early throughout but Steve's shot selection and variation of pace and direction combined with a number of mistakes from Jack told throughout.

London snr v Patel (K)
The author finally managed to string together some kind of performance. With rallies going on and on a tight match was extended to four games as the author got a little too excited at the sight of the finish line in the 3rd, with Ket coming back from 2-7 then 6-9 to sneak it. Both pretty tired at the end of this one (a major achievment to get Ket tired)!

Kay v Patel (S)
Didn't see any of this out on the back court but Paul's summary was short, sweet, to the point and not very positive from his pov. Looks to have been very tight in the 2nd and 3rd, and a bit unlucky not to have sneaked either as Shil was reported to be feeling the pace.

Flanagan v Easton
James turned in another good performance here to turn Nick over in five topsy turvy games. Perhaps a few too many 13-11 in 5ths etc for Nick, combined with patio digging etc. Time for a bit of a breather. Nonetheless, impressive.

Sadly none of the above did enough to stave off PLs third countback loss! Mucho hilarity in the bar right at the last knockings as messrs Bushell and Lennox demonstrated the kind of company they keep whilst patiently explaining to the more naive members of the 1st team the true meaning of Mr Flanagan's alias.

A good evening with the BLTC boys as ever.
