Report

Report:With results not really going Langly 2s way lately, this fixture really was a must win to keep us in the top flight for next winter.
After a slagging off on the forum from Dangerman i was just in the mood for his phone call at 4 o clock pleading for a lift down to Tunbridge.

1st up The Dark desroyer v Johnson
Trevor, can when called on can play some great squash. The slyfox had already given out the orders and for once Trevor seemed to be listening. After going down in the 1st TDD started to get his length in and make his drops count and took the 2nd comfortably. The 3rd game was nip & tuck and could really have gone either way but TDD managed to grind out it 10/8.After that steves head seemed to drop alittle bit and never really looked like getting back into it.

Squashboy v Street
SB started the stronger killing of rallies and finding length even with street being 7-2 up in the 2nd SB closed out the game 9-7. 2-0 up and SB can feel the pats on the back already.
In the 3rd Street started to control the game more with tight length and even tighter drops. Both players were covering the court well with good rallies but it was Street that was closing the rallies out now with SB on the back foot. The 4th went pretty much the same way this was going all the way.The 5th was the best game to watch going one way and then the other with some really good squash.Street seemed to tire just a little half way through the 5th which was enough for SB to take advantage and finish the game.

Fatboy yz v Sutton
Didn't see the 1st two games of this as i was on court but as the score shows nick was in control playing good length moving Sutton about.
Nicks belly seems to have grown an awful lot lately and as the game went on Sutton was moving FB about more and more and the fitness seemed to start draining away from nick.Sutton then took the next three quite easy.Still a vital 2pts from FB .

Jolly v The Sly fox
TSF once again had the hounds behind him.We knew how good Jolly was from the 1st half so swithching TDD from 2 to 3 proberbly won us the match.Unfortunatly for TSF the hounds were in the form of Jolly and a Jolly is what he had.
Despite the score TSF played well and deserved more than he actually got.Not to take anything away from Jolly who looked very comfortable and in control for the match.

Dangerman v JT
JT managed to get himself to TWELLS at 9.50 with a pissed of Dave warming up and fed up of waiting. With a full balcony this was for the match.Dave started of with some great nicks and good attacking squash putting JT under pressure from the start.JT started to claw his way back into the game with some tight drops and good deception at the front of the court but it wasn't enough and dave was not in the mood to mess about.
With Dave 2-0 up in games JT started to find a length and was getting the upper hand.Dave started to look tired and the Langly boys started to see another win ripped away from them again jt closed the game out 9-4.
Dave needed to up the pace again and when you have been waiting 2 1/2 hours to go on court! that is the last thing you want to have to do.
JT started the stronger in the 4th with good speed and good shots however Dave dug deep and found the form that we are getting used to seeing every week now.JT had no answer and Dave finished it off 9-3.
With relagation put off for another week we enjoyed the T.W hospitality in the form of burgers and chips.
Have to say i have never been to this club before(thanks ray by the way )and was impressed by the set up.Didn't think squash clubs existed like this any more.
