| Report: | Some familiar faces returned to Knole to snatch the spoils by the narrowest of margins.
Oliver was out of sorts for the first three games - but blamed the timing and the bounce. In fact he blamed them for the rest of the night.
Mike tried his best to bounce Chez out but the smooth languid retrieving of his opponent was too enduring.
Niall looked tired for two games and then Steve looked tired for one then Niall looked tired and strained for the fourth.
Pete was more accurate than in previous appearances and was too quick for the veteran John (sans manches) -well it is a golf club! John fought bravely but youth was on the other side.
So down to the senior Simon and the much junior Sam. Sam should have won 4-0 as it was he inevitably let Simon back in and allowed marking decisions and his opponent's unorthodox technique to distract him. Post A-level lost weekend might also have been to blame.
Still, 10 points each plus a win bonus for the visitors is a fair haul.
