| Report: | A tight local derby which looked to be going the way of the south of the Medway team when they took an immediate 2-0 lead. Ben dominated a slightly off par Slade with a mixture of fine movement and inch perfect drop shots. Dan C and Marc was much closer but eventually Dan took control and ran to victory in the fourth. Marc said no excuses, we will have to work on that!! So 3 from 3 required to rescue the fixture for the home side. Queue Jake who immediately went 1-0 down to a fast moving, early volleying Dave. Luckily external factors conspired to demotivate the wells man and with a slight up in form Jake wins 3-1. Hugo was awesome as usual apparently but I didn’t see any of it, so no comment. Finally Nick and Steve to battle out the decider. Apart from a solid 3rd from Steve to worry the home fans Nick was in charge and completed the comeback.
Excellent chat and Lasagne afterwards with Ben managing to consume 3 portions. At that rate one day he will be as fat as me! |
