Report: | BCC title push gets underway.
Billed as a battle between two potential title challengers, this match proved to be the biggest one sided affair ever, well at least since Biggin Hill won the winter league.
Still hampered by a torn muscle, El Capitano was pleased to see that Amida only had 4 players. First blood to BCC.
#3 vs Dan Lark (No.2)
Newly christened #3 was up against crash bang wallop Dan in the first match on. A sluggish start by #3, saw Dan gain game points - however #3 just had enough and won the 1st. From there on in it was all #3. Dan battled hard, but #3 was too tight and consistent. The match was over in about 15mins.
JT vs Grant (No.3)
Keen to shoot off early as he was on another promise from his missus, JT wasted no time in dispatching Grant in the 1st. He then took his foot off the gas and Grant got himself back into the game. Long rallies, some dangerous shots from JT and some hard running by Grant saw the 2nd and 3rd become much closer affairs. Even so JT continued his unbeaten start. His newly designed fitness regime of squash 3 times a day is certainly paying dividends.
King Lewy Vs Paul (No.1)
Yours truly was running round the cricket pitch during this game so didn't catch a glimpse. Judging by the scoreline, another one sided affair.
FC vs Toby (No.4)
Team jetsetter was sporting a great tan and waistline, after another weekend on holiday. However he still had too much class for Toby.
Some outrageous boasts saw FC get himself out of some tricky situations - but all in all it was another dominant display. FC did want me to mention his winning shot - a crosscout dead nick which rolled across the court.
20-0 to BCC and the match was all over by 9.30pm
Next up the mighty Bexley
