Report: | PL2 no match for BCC Boys
A full strength side negotiated the monsoon on route to Park Langley for the second time this season – this time to take on the 2nds.
Ted the Lip Vs King Lewy (No.1)
A lot of hype surrounded this match, what with ‘The Lip’ having beaten #3 and both the London boys in the past week. Would King Lewy be another casualty in this young boys rapid improvement?
The training that King Lewy had placed upon himself the previous night (only the 5 pints) proved his downfall in the 1st. The courts were roasting and the ball was bouncing up nicely for ‘The Lip’ to retrieve anything King Lewy could throw at him. 1-way traffic in the first, much to the disappointment of Student who felt he should really be at 1. Along with #3, it seems BCC have got too many pre Madonna’s.
King Lewy looked tired in the 2nd, but chipped away at ‘The Lip’ and gradually got himself back into the match. ‘The Lip’ was getting increasingly frustrated as King Lewy began to exert his experience on the match. He took a close game and levelled the match at 1-1. King Lewy went off to refresh himself, whilst ‘The Lip’ sat in the corner of the squash court - contemplating all that was wrong with life.
The 3rd and 4th game mirrored that of the 2nd, with both players finding it difficult to put anything away, and at the same time struggling with the heat. It was ‘The Lip’ though that prevailed with some consistent squash. He made very few mistakes and managed to keep his temperament in the ensuing games. Another scalp for ‘The Lip’.
How will King Lewy react to this setback, and also the pressure that Student and #3 are placing on him for that #1 spot?
Rob Vs Student (No.2)
Trevor (I’m not 50 honest) Vs #3 (No.3)
Andy B Vs FC (No.4)
Nick Vs El Capitano (No.5)
All the other matches were as one-sided as the league is this year.
Student was in a hurry to finish Rob off as quickly as possible, his girlfriend was off on holiday the next day so he was keen to lay down some ground rules for her.
Shame #3 will be out there looking for her.
#3 was also in a hurry against Trevor. The cobwebs from last weeks defeat were well and truly blown away, as was Trevor. Trevor still had time to question a load of decisions though.
Didn’t see FCs’ match against Andy, just heard it. A lot of shouting, racquet breaking, and cursing. Another win for the Fat one.
Nick showed some glimpses against El Capitano, but the match was never in doubt, the Cap is back!
Unlike last weeks epic, we were all in the bar by 10pm. A welcome relief from eating 6 sausages at 11.30pm.
Nick decided to spill beer all over the bar, whilst ‘The Lip’ boasted about spilling beer in Tim Garners’ squash bag last week – and then cheekily forgetting to tell him about it. Kids hey! He then continued to wind #3 up about beating him last week. #3 had the last laugh though and managed to pull his boxers down.
Student I think your girlfriend is safe for now.
‘The Lip’ – don’t wear those tight lycra boxers around BBGB next week.
Big Andy learn how to use cut and paste, as much as I love reading your report, I don’t want to read it 5 times.
MOTM – Student (least points conceded)
El Capitano (Special – mummy says so)
