| Report: | Steph and Paul started the match off, Paul running and retreiving well but Stephs shots proving too good for him. I think everyone would agree that the quality deterioated from then on!!
On the other court ... battle of the sickies#1. Alex vs Matt G. Neither was particularly up for a massive run around and I didn't see much of the match but both seemed happy to get the game out of the way and retire to the bar (Matt) and bed (Alex)!
Matt B vs Andy was not a pretty match. Matt deciding that he had gone wrong in the cup against Andy by trying to play decent squash ... so he resorted to his "B" game of total annihilation of ball, racket, wall and floor. Seems to work though!
Battle of sickies#2 - Steve vrs Mike. Both returning from injury (and flu). erm, well Mike dominated!!
Lastly Dan vs Rob for the most amusing match of the season!! Dans running was incredibly fast, sometimes in the wrong direction, sometimes directly into Rob! Which some of you can imagine didn't please Mr Lewis. Rob could have been forgiven for complaining, but we won't!! This in-turn annoyed Dan and inspired him to find an extra gear... "warp speed". So the match continued with Rob playing some decent shots but Dan flying around court picking everything up. Very funny! |
