| Report: | Big test of resources on the Hill Billies ranch this week.
Laney working,Mighty Mac injured,Fordy in Gibralter and AGFG at a training camp in Devon.
So the bare bones set off into deepest,darkest Kent intent on behaving ourselves as we knew BBGB would be on marking duties. We certainly didn't fancy putting ourselves in the same situation as Trev Grant last week,within an inch of ending his life.(nice one Trev I can see why you would want to upset a lightweight like BBGB !)
First up,
Debt Collector v Mike
DC made the mistake of being relaxed at the start of this one. Mike started as he did against Laney in the first half,dominating the T and cracking everything within a couple of inches of the tin.9-2 to Mike and a rather dazed DC.The second started with DC stepping up a couple of feet and starting to get a handle on Mikes tactics, DC takes the second 9-5.
Halfway through the third with DC now extending the rallies, Mike suddenly had a change of sex and started to go by the name of Serina (actually I'm not sure if he would have to change sex to become Serina Williams)
Laces needed to be checked,calf muscles massaged,and all 4 walls cleaned before the next rally could proceed. No matter the next two games going to DC with similar scorelines.
Nice game with both players sharing some good banter.
Steptoe v Camp Ninja Deano
Only saw the last last game with CND playing with the deepest,darkest black mood yet witnessed and believe me that's saying something when refering to CND.
Not sure why as from what I witnessed was some good quality rallies with both players working very hard. At 4-4 in the fifth,CND started hitting the ball at Laney speed which seemed to finally kill off Steptoe. A slight hint at a smile from CND at the end so everyone was happy.
Sicknote v Mighty Mac
Not much to say on this one except MM took a hit for the team after pulling out on Sunday with a leg injury.
3-0 to Sicknote in minutes. Sorry Sicknote for not getting a game but we couldn't get anybody else.
Stu 'Fatboy' v Smooth Operator
The Smooth One was in no mood for prisoners when this one kicked off. Lots off deception,top spin drops and dead nicks which after a little while forced Stu to bring out the white flag.
Not bothering to come off between games,this one was over in very quick order.
Mo v Beverley Hills Rent Boy
Slight change of name for Toby as he now feels the quality of client he is now attracting has shown a marked upturn !
Mo turning up at 9.30 meant BHRB was in no mood to hang around.Smashing the ball around at light speed and forcing Mo into an early submission.
So into the bar to be given chapter and verse on the Trevor Grant affair and the drinking binge at PL1 by BBGB.
What is it about Cascades and PL ?
Good company and great food as usual,cheers boys.
