Report

Report:Well this turned out to be one hell of a struggle even from the off with Mighty Mac getting lost,Smooth Operator struggling with man flu and I'm not sure if Beverley Hills Rent Boy turned up at all.
First up.

Tim v Beverley Hills Rent Boy
Well this week it was the turn off Amsterdam to take the full brunt of a BHRB visit.
Unable to get back in time BHRB sent in his place a blow up doll lookalike. Have to say they really do look very life like these days with the same Mortimer half open eyes and a similar sized *rse. What impressed me most though was how it's face went bright Red after the first rally, now that's clever!!
Tim rose to the occasion and gave the doll a right good *hagging (in a squash sense of course) having it off 3-0 in pretty quick time.

Ian v A Good Few Beers
Didn't see much of this one but I'm told it was a pretty one sided affair with AGFB in total control taking a quick win, which was handy as it gave AGFB plenty of time to scour Dulwich to find Gordon!

Mark v Debt Collector
It was touch and go if DC could play this one with a new injury (big toe this time) but resources stretched as they were there was little choice.
Fortunatly DC was able to make Mark do a lot more work than DC winning the first 9-1. Mark then started being nasty making DC move and taking the game 9-6.
DC was having no more of that and managed to dictate things from the T taking the next two games comfortably.Fortunantly no dope tests were carried out after the game even though DC was making a funny rattling sound !

Andy V Smooth Operator
Now at this point things were going pretty much how was expected but things were about to make a drastic change.
SO went on court looking like death and indeed started playing like death losing the first two in pretty quick time. A big effort was needed from SO and thats what he gave, somehow grinding out the next two games to bring it back to all square. At this point Mighty Mac was taking a good thumping on the other court so all attention was on this deciding game with the Dulwich mob seriously starting to sniff a major upset.
The fifth started with SO trying to force quick winners as he was pretty much all in. At 5-2 things were working but Andy was like a bloodhound onto a scent and wouldn't lie down.Excellent retrieving and fine drops got him back into things and inevitably we ended up at 8-8. At this point both players were getting nervious and mistakes were being made. Andy managed to extend the rallies which sucked out the last dreggs of energy from SO and he finally expired 10-8.
Really good game with both players in their own way finding that little bit extra to get the result.

Will v Mighty Mac
With Andy snatching the result on the other court, the Dulwich boys were now skipping with excitment as Will won the first 9-1 and going 7-1 up in the next.MM looking ring rusty on his return and the last thing he needed was a whippet on a warm court.
However this legend has been round the block a few times and managed to claw his way back eventally taking the second 9-7. The Hill Billies had about ten seconds to breath easy before MM promptly lost the third 9-1.
At this point a severe *ollocking was handed out by AGFB and MM responded taking the 4th 9-1.
The fifth saw MM take a healthy lead only for Will to drag it back to 7-8 and Tim at this point junping around like a ferret on heat.
Mistakes by both at this point but Will finally commited suicide by whacking a straight drive squarely into the base of the tin.

So a win for the Hill Billies by the skin of their wotsits (again)
A really good evening with lots of excitment and tension (just ask Tim).
Only down side of the evening was trying to get the blow up doll home. It reminded me of the Only Fools & Horses episode where the bloody things kept inflating in the back of Dell Boys van. Much the same kept happening in the back of my Honda!
