Report: | Mark and Mick went on first in the battle of the super subs from what I understand all three games were tight and a good match Mark winning it 3-0. The old boys then came out Tubby v Peter, this was Peter's first match for quite a while and although the shots were there the movement was a bit rusty and Tubby wasn't about to let Peter con him, 3-0 Tubby. Martin and Matt then lined up with Martin firing well in the first game 9-2. Matt moved up a gear in the 2nd but Martin fought hard to take it 10-9. In the third Martin took control again winning it 9-2.Ash and Tony were next up and Ash started well 4-0 but Tony then got into a roll and won it 9-6. Ash stepped up a gear for the 3rd winning it 9-5. In the 3rd Tony responded winning a close one 9-7. Tony now had the upper hand and closed it iout 9-3. In the Final match Colin played Dave and Although Colin won in 3 Dave gave him a good game with a variety of shots. Colin had a number of mishits which he blamed on some cheap strings he had bought for £8. Typical scotsman. |
