Report: | Once again with Freds fielding a under strength team, the result was inevitable.
First on, Elliot against Oliver. Though a 3-0 this was a very close match. Elliott pulled back in the third from 8-1 down to 8-7 before losing 9-7. With Oliver tiring rapidly had Elliott won this last game the match result could have been very different. At 14 or is it still 13? Elliot is improving every week and it won't be long before he strides up the order.
Paul and Billy was another 3-0. Billy with a dazzling array of shots had just too much ammunition for the never tiring Flat Eric. Eric tried to get his own back by taking on all comers at racquetball afterwards but finally ran out of steam against Justin.
Ross lost 3-0 to Justin, after breaking a racket in the warm up and failing to hit the ball through the front wall in the first game Ross ran out of steam leaving him just enough energy for some choice hand signals to the marker.
Peter looked to have very much an uphill task taking on Dave at 4 and despite playing some good, out of character, percentage squash lost 3-0
Last on Dave and Keith. A great match to watch and very closely fought with Dave taking the match 3-1. Dave was, as ever, a cut above everyone else in the bar sinking bottles of Becks in rapid succession.
