Report: | BCC II maintained thier 100% winning run by nicking a 3-2 win over Sundridge Park II dispite thier influx of player from Bromley Pavilion.
First up was our new signing to the team but not new to the club, Mat Horder, who has already settled in and proved a real team player.
Mat(the coach) V R Booth
Only saw a little of this match as I had to mark. Although they were old friends Mat being the true professional put this to one side and took a 3-0 victory before I'd finished marking the first game on the other court. To be fair his oponent wasn't really there last night and we all have nights like those.
Tricky V Pascal
From the off fittness was the issue here, neither player has picked up a raquet for a long while prior to the season starting but they still managed four sets. Tricky, contrary to the norm, lost the first, got back the second and took the third 9-0. Pascal really had his work cut out here and dug deap in the forth only to loose it 10-8 and the match. Tricky really pulled out the stops in this one and proove the fitter of the two.
Danney(smiler) V Ian
I didn't see any of this match but needless to say it was over very quickly, with Ian moving down from the no.2 slot to no.4 he was a tough oponent and with Danney stuggling with fittness the result speaks for itself.
Kieth V R Mailstone
Well keith was giving away a few years and pounds here and lost the first two, but, as we all know Keith is never done untill the five games are up. Keith dug deep and put that vast amount off experience to good use and took the next three to win 3-2. Keith saves the day again.
Andy(Big Andy to Ian) V Garth
After a long first game Garth nicked the first 10-8 as I did the second. I put all my effort in the third game to win it 9-7 but after that ran out of ideas and steam to loose the next two fairly swiftly. A broken hand has hampered my fittness of late but it's comming back so am looking forward to the return!
not spell checked so dont bother!!! thats for Ian. |
