Report

Report:Last week it wasn't looking good for our selection this week with our 1,2&5 out so we were lucky to get James and Michele who aren't really playing at the moment.

James V Neil
I didn't see much of this game, by all accounts James (fresh from uni exams) worked up a bit of a sweat as Neil's retrieving was excellent as usual. Despite this James kept on top all the way through to clock up a 3-0 victory....his first win this season!!

Michele(The Dutch Prodigy) V Nick
Rushing straight from the cricket nets (this is his chosen sport for the summer) Michele got to grips with Nicks slightly unorthodox style fairly quickly to a 3-0 victory. With the first team well stocked now it looks like Michele will be able to turn out for us at home when were short, which is a real bonus!

Andy V John(The ringer) Lawton
Well obviously the coaching and playing in the first team for TWSRC has paid off. I was no match for a sharpened up John as he exacted his revenge fairly swiftly to take the match 3-0,. Whilst I figured out what to do in the 3rd doing it was a real problem, think I'll have to get fit again!!

Danny(smiler) V Steve
Two players with similar styles here, the first game was a real ding-dong which went to 10-8 in Danny's favor wit many hand outs at 8-8 but this took its toll on Steve and Danny went on to win the next two comfortably taking the match 3-0.

Jamie (iron man) Salamon V Paul Goddard

Well what can I say, after competing in the Blenheim Palace Triathlon at the weekend and playing two hours tennis just before walking on court to play Paul. According to Brendon he played c**p at tennis anyway).
The first game was tight and went to 8-8 when Paul called 1, Jamie dug in nicked it 9-8. The next two games were very tight also with Paul's frustration showing, resulting in a few spurious comments to the marker which the gallery laughing a few times, his own team included I might add.
Jamie took the next two games to win the match 3-0.

Overall a good 4-1 victory for BCC II as we were only top by goal difference so to speak.
