Report: | With a full side this week BCC try gain back their top place but needed a 5-0 victory to do so………..
Coach V Chris ( Doc )
Chris may have been hoping to exact revenge for his 3-0 defeat in the first half but coach was having none of it, especially after his verbal warning and subsequent retirement for the same last week, he went in with determination. Although before the match Coach complained he’d been humping all day!! We were all very impressed……until we found out it was furniture!! Chris suffering from injury, again, wasn’t much opposition for an on form Coach, 3-0 the score.
Smiler ( not smiling much this night ) V Shaun
Still recovering from a cold, this was a man cold you understand, a far more serious condition people tend to realise!! Smiler was there in body but not in mind for the first two games to go 2-0 down. The brain was engaged for a short period in the third but to no avail 3-0 was the score to Shaun. I’m sure a fit Smiler will return for next week, he ensures us he’s in training now, sponsored by Fosters!!!
Brian (Guitar Man) V Neil
After playing the guitar man the other Saturday I new he was sharp and pretty fit, less pretty I think!! So The guitar man’s first outing this season saw him to a swift and convincing 3-0 victory.
Bruiser V Dave
This proved to be the pivotal match, Bruiser fancied his chances here and my money was definitely on Bruiser. Dave went in all guns blazing pulling out all those little boasts, dinks and drops that we all love, not, but bruiser took the first 10-8 only to loose the next one and it was all on the third really and this took its toll loosing it 8-10 so 1-2 down at this point it was down to sheer grit and determination. The forth didn’t go well and the Bruiser went down 4-9 and the match, glad I didn’t put my money where my mouth was and kept that 50p in my pocket!
Big Andy V Danny
Big Andy new Danny was an awkward customer, quick around the court with some really deceptive shots at the front. Didn’t know Bruiser’s score when started so all to play for and straight away found a good length, first time this season I believe, so that was the order of the day, hard and low to the back. When Danny was buried at the back drop it the front but Danny was always on my back asking for the lets, this caused a bit of banter, and of course as you all know I’m not one to argue!! Well it wasn’t Danny’s night and Big Andy was at last finding some form and went on to take the game 3-0.
Match score 3-2 BCC
Man of the match First time out, 3-0 got to be Guitar Man
