Report

Report:BCC needed a win here to get back on top but....a man short and the tropical heat of the sports centre was just too much!

Big Andy V Neil(the whippet)
Well, my warm up was impressive and the first few points promising, it was too hot to kill the ball and the whippet got everything back! Big Andy's fittnes wained, always good for the first few points in the match if he could last the rally, hmmmm 3-0 to the whippet. Well played Neil.

Bruiser V Keith
Again fitness was the issue, whilst keith played very well and had Gordon in all corners Gordon managed to dig even the tightest balls out as he always does. Great game but Bruiser went down 0-3 and vowed to get fit for the winter!!

Guitar man V Nick
Given Guitar man's lack of match play this season he got off to a great start winning the first 10-8, went to sleep in the second but woke up for the third to lead 2-1. The heat got to him in the next 2 while Nick is used to the tropics down there and took the match 3-2.

Smiler V Martin
The warm up looked like this was giong to be a good game but Smiler struggled for form once again and the match was over very quickly. Martin didn't allow smiler in the match at all, just too good. Martin, at dinner later, did announce he had been 'blowing his horn' earlier that evening! Perhaps we should all try that to improve our performance eh! Martin won 3-0.

Coach V Russel
Not a lot to say about this game, after the first long rally Mat soon decided that spanking it wasn't the plan! He often gets told that!!! Coach went on to take the first two comfortably. Went 1-5 down third, a little sleep I think, tired from his lunchtime match, couldn't do enough to get it back. Coach fully awake now after loosing the third stepped it up a gear, 9-0 in the forth to take the match 3-1. Coach was a bit lonely in the winners enclosure!!

Man of the match....coach.

Have to say Paul's marking was great dispite what Nick thought!!
