Report

Report:How things have changed on the Hill since last season. Our lovely club boss Kim deciding to spread here wings and expand the business.
Not only can you play a game of squash, but you can also brush up on on your dancing steps as well, maybe it's something to do with the return of Strictly Come Dancing.
Walking into the club we were greeted by flashing lights and glitter balls hanging from the two match courts.EDF Energy up to their usual tricks again!! A quick change to the other courts and away we go.
First up:

A Good Few Beers v I don't know his name
I got the impression AGFB was still thinking of his step routine on the other courts when he kicked off going down 0-6 with IDKHN playing some tidy squash and mixing things up.
However, once AGFB had sorted out his Cha Cha Cha things turned round rapidly and the next 9 points were rattled up to give AGFB the first game.
The next two games were over in very quick order and before IDKHN could shake hands,AGFB was back onto the dance floor on court four brushing up on his opening Rumba steps.

Beverley Hills Rent Boy v Guy
Not much to say about this one. BHRB not at the races and Guy looking a little bit bemused as he cruised to an easy win.
A severe lecture from Debt Collector afterwards and I now look forward to Bexley to see if this had any affect.

Debt Collector v Geoff
Long time since I played Geoff (when I played for Park Langley I think)
Some good rallies in this one but DC kept a firm hold on proceedings with Geoff running out of legs rapidly.
DC wrapped things up in fairly quick order with Geoff claiming he wasn't quite fit yet.He said that 10 years ago!!
On this form I think it would be impossible for AGFB to drop DC for the clash with Badgers bunch next week. I wait with baited breath.

Laney v Cath
First game saw Cath playing the better squash with Laney coming out second best with the boast exchanges.A tight game with Cath taking it 9-6.
Well that did not impress Laney one little bit.Back to route one squash, bash the ball into oblivion.
Next three games over rapidly with Laney only dropping 3 points and Cath looking like she had just been stampeded by a heard of elephants with dangerously high hormone levels.

Mighty Mac v Matt
Well a close season without injury and some good hard games to boot seem to have brought MM right back into the high levels of the pecking order in the Hillbilly ranks (nominated 7 I think)
This was a highly destructive display by MM hitting Knicks from all directions nicley mixed with good width and length.
Matt never really got into his stride feeling the full effects of a revived MM.

So a good win for the Hillbillies, a good *ollocking for BHRB and a good brushing up of our dance steps under the flashing lights of courts 3/4.
Only down side was driving out of the club when I ploughed down these 5 blokes who had their heads down some bloody great hole. Looked to me like they might have been doing some sort of emergency repairs or something. OOOPS!!
