Report: | Quality squash once again from the Cascades boys.
Ist up John v Dave.
John was on fire,(not real flames. That would hurt)and there was never any doubt of the outcome. Nice to watch with a beer in my hand.
Neil v Ted.
Glad I didn't mark this one as Ted was moanning within the opening 30 seconds of the match. An evenly matched game which saw Ted take the fith from 6 love down. Impressive play which would have seen me lose my lunch had I been in some of the rallies.
phones4U v Matt.
Another very impressive display from Mo. Close score lines in the first 2 but Mo's attacking play earned him a well deserved 3-0 victory.
Fat Boy v Andy.
Fat Boy was on good form lobbing Andy at every oppotunity. Nice length, but enough about the showers. Solid squash and a 3-0 victory.
Finally Steptoe V Jon.
I think my 'wax on wax off' Karate Kid comment refering to Jon's head scarf fired him up as I have never seen him play so well. Fair play to him. This was Jons first victory over Tony and he earned it. How can someone with a gut like mine move so fast and keep his dinner down?
Good crowd and good food as usual in the bar afterwards.
BBGB sadly no longer good enough to play.. Actually I never was! |
