Report

Report:The first game up was Tony and Andy. After a disapointing result last week, Tony looked much sharper this week. Despite some long rallies, Tony seemed to out-think his opponent (probably experience showing through from the old man of the team).

Next up was John and James. James seemed to be out-playing John in the first game, with some amazing squash from both sides. John then upped the pace in the second game with some hard hitting athletic squash taking place from both sides. John seemed to have the edge on fitness at the end and powered his way through to a solid victory [edit CIL. Probably worth mentioning the racket across the bridge of the nose at 8-7 to James in the 2nd too - after which nil points].

Fatboy Lamprell seems to be shaking off his nickname recently and his renewed fitness showed in his match with Simon. Simon's height made the difference in the first game, but Stuart seemed to start thinking his way around the court more in the following games, easing his way to a solid win.

Clive and Neil up next with an interesting game. After winning the first with speed and power, Clive "warmed up" and showed his usual "MR Elastic" properties to retrieve some amazing balls. If he had won this tie-break, it may have been different, but having lost this, Clive looked tired and Neil's fitness and power seemed to ease his way to a good win.

Final game was Mo and Steve. Mo looks a bit hapier on court these days and with some good rallies, and a glitch in the 3rd, eased his way to win the match.

Cascades turn out a strong team again, with Neil and John clearly becoming vital team members...
