Report:Scores to follow when I find the sheets... (saved you the trouble - CL)

Quick round up, I'm sure Mr London will want to elaborate.

At 5, a poorly Rob was forced to turn out for Bexley after it was discovered the Captain had made an error in informing Ms Brind she was playing. Andy 1-0 up, Clive and Marks game commenced on the other court. Andy mercifully dispatched Rob quickly over the next 2 games!

2 games on this court didn't last one game on the London, Steeden court!

So Matt vs Steve. Steve coming up with brilliant shots followed by not so good ones. Matt won the first. Lost concentration in the second but regained his form in the last 2 to win 3-1.

London vs Steeden. Still going....A request was made to turn the heaters off but the switch could not be found!!

Matt vs Simon. Matt wasn't in the mood for messing around which was somewhat contradicted by the fact he refused to concentrate for more than one point in a row. 3-0 Matt but with Simon getting better in each game

London vs Steeden finishes. 3-2 to Steeden having been 2-0 down. Due to marking duties and playing I didn't see any of it. Somewhat suprising, as it lasted about 17hrs (1hr 40!)

Finally Duane vs James. With worries about lights turning off (and no way of turning them on again) the balcony was as tense as the players. Especially with Clive whispering something about forfeiting the match should it not finish. So we didn't want a 3-2! We got a 3-2! Bexley's new fangled court system was even kind enough to give us a countdown to doom (12mins light remaining at 2-2). In fact the lights went off at 8-3 in fifth, luckily we managed to get them back on with a magic fob and the last point was played out. phew. 3-2 James
