Report

Report: Another tight game between the two teams with a crowded balcony adding a bit of excitement to the atmosphere.

John and Tim were first on with John taking a break from his Marathon training to pick up a squash racket - a bit of a baptism by fire?..John almost upset the apple cart by taking the first game - but when this failed to materialise, the lack of game play began to show and Tim polished the remaining two games off quickly. This was still a thoroughly enjoyable match for all spectators.

Neil and Clive were on next with the match that meant no one eat until 10.30!...selfish or what? Even closer than last time with Clive taking the early lead and Neil fighting back to lead 2-1. In the end it was a very closely fought match with Neils focus winning out.

Sicknote and Will on next with heart attack rallies and good humour throughout. Although Will looked to be tiring as Ash fought back after going 2-0 down to make it 2-1. But some good advice from uncle Tim and a new spurt of energy meant Will finished the game convincingly.

Steptoe and Duncan was a quick game with Steptoe proving that he may be an old man but he can still play squash. A very convincing win from what I was told.

Finally Andy (yet to lose this season)showed consistency as he took the first 2 games off Phones4U. It all looked like it might change as Mo had game ball in the 3rd and showed renewed focus, but a break of Mo's strings at the tie-break gave the advantage to Andy and....well, next time you start with a new racket and your opponent offers a warm up - take it Mo!

Overall, an excellent (late) night's squash with a good laugh, good food and well rounded off with stories about Bob's bottom....nothing new there then.
