Report: | S'pose I'd better contribute something since all around me are this week. Bit depressing really though, as PL1 slide ever nearer the relegation zone. This match was a bit of a wash out (again) for PL. After being the original employers of "a superstar", things are looking pretty grim with all around us (especially it seems our own 2nd team) recruiting stronger and stronger players. The author arrived to find an "administrative cock-up" in progress (say no more). Not that it made any difference.
All matches with the exception of JEJ v Marc were a bit of an Amida procession. Jimbo started off in fine style, and once Marc got into his stride held it together to run up 3/4 of PL's meagre points tally for the evening. Everybody else took a bashing. Not much more to say. Amida boys all put in an efficient performance, and were clearly keen to get into the bar to celebrate with the evening's bizarre food offering of Hungarian porridge (or whatever it was supposed to be).
PL await the return of WW to try and breathe some life into their twitching carcass. Award of the night goes to Nocturnal Currie for (just) managing to get through the front door before 9:45pm. |
