| Report: | Fisrt up Matt v Ash. (thought this would be a long one so got it on quick) HA Ha 8.15PM.
Matt started the better reeling of the first 9/0,wake up ash in the second with some good squash to take the game.With both players now in the groove the match got closer with mistakes coming in on both sides( Meanwhile on court 4 out in the dark towers captain andy was going down 3-0 to tony) Ash kept up the pressure to take the third , but boaty was not lying down and showed spirit to come back and level 2-2.With a good Langley crowd thr fith was very close matt having a little more in the Tank.
Next up Ted v Neil.
Ted looked over confident for this one (mistake)and Neil looked focussed and ready for battle, and it showed - Neil taking the first 2 games.
With raquet intact and no shouting Teddy started the comeback 9/5 9/8 and the match 2-2 all the the langley crowd were ready for Ted to show his talents and take the fith nothing less would do- even Mrs London shouted from above come on Ted,thankyou for your support Claire.Mr Baker had other ideas and played the perfect game against Ted and finally squeeze out the win.
Out again in the towers little squasboy (alias go-karting guru) was taking on reserve royal Mr kent county squash club builder Stimpson.Squashboy started well taking the first two at a stroll, but took his foot off the gas ,and Mike capitalized and went on to take the next two for 3 points.Into the the fith and mike was away with the points at 8-4 up little Squashboy put his kart into overdrive to stage a super comeback well done little man.
Match all square enter superman v Mo.
Dave has not been at his best these last 2 months but can still hit a ball better than most .First game very close Mo taking it 10/9 not what the doctor ordered. Second game superman showed why once he could take on the best 9/0. With the clock getting quicker and another late night on the cards Mo got his running boots on and won the third.At this time PL3& Dulwich had finished showered eaten and on there way home before Superman Dave played his heart out and take the next two games 9/4 9/4 and the match 2 langley2.
All in all a good match for all and good company from the oppo. Onwards and upwards the langley2 train has started again. (Hows that Jolly) |
