| Report: | I was unable to play and so this match report is a complete fabrication. Ian lost narrowly to Nick in a tight match, Nick's drops from the back of the court causing problems but Ian's backhand being its usual winning self.
Martin was too strong at 2, despite returning from a weeks holiday, too many forehand ( left handed you see ) winners I suspect ( and boasts ).
Ash unusually won the first game, normally taking two to get started; that was the mistake, losing the next 3.
A good win for Ron, after a few disappointing results lately.
And late stand-in Brian probably ran a lot and laughed ( or shouted ) a lot, another good win.
