Report: | With Martin missing at 2 for the home team and Sundridge having some good results lately the outcome wasn't obvious.
Ron versus Ollie
Oliie is coming back after a 3 month layoff and therefore maybe not as sharp as expected, Ron running out to a 2-0 lead. However, Oliie fought back well, and Ron began to struggle with his breathing. Not wanting to go to a fifth, he managed to win 3-1 but left his lungs on court.
Keith and Justine
Neither player wanted to win it seemed, poor shot selection and execution marked most of the match but Justine held together better to win in 5.
Tom versus Andy
Tom hit all his usual winners until Andy decided to fight that bit harder. coming back to win the third. But Tom continued to put away any loose balls from the middle of the court and won 3-1.
Paul versus Garth
Garth hit some very good balls before the kick-off and then promptly tinned several dozen in the actual match, making it far too easy for Paul to win 3-0 comfortably.
Ian and Kevin
A tight first game, Ian forgot to show up for the second, but then got his act together to run Kevin around the court for the last 2.
Match 4-1 to Bromley to keep the pressure on Bexley ( and Dulwich ) |
