Report

Report:Bromley were in trouble before the match started as Numbers 1&2 couldn't make the match and No 5 was with his daughter in Hospital when at 5:30 regular number 3 was also in doubt as his daughter had been knocked off her M/cycle and was also in hospital. However just before the match started both Keith and Gary confirmed they would play - game on.

Ron went on first with Dan a rematch of the cup game that Dan won. Dan started confidently winning the first easily, Ron however wanted revenge and won the 2nd to the same score. Dan said he was fatigued and took an energy boost in the form of a Kit Kat - no good, he lost the third. But then won the 4th was the Kit Kat working but if it was it ran out of energy because Ron won the 5th.

Gary who had been pulled in at the last minute tried hard and was occasionaly up in games but Paul kept his composure and won fairly comfortably in 3.

Terry went on next against his old rival Peter's son Ross. Terry took the first two fairly comfortably but with Ross slaming in the occasional stunning winner. Terry was looking good for a win in 3 at 8-4 up but Ross came back with some more winners to take it 9-8. However in the 4th Terry out manouvered Ross to win in 4.

Next on was Keith which I didn't see as it started after my game and finished before I had. However it looks like Keith's mind might have been elsewhere, as he should have been.

So the match was 2-2 when Tom who seemed to have grown up with most of the opposition took on Matt.
The first game was fairly even with Matt taking control towards the end of the first but Tom fought back to make it a tight 10-9 win for Matt. But Tom then stepped up a gear and Matt didn't seem to have the energy or an answer to overcome Tom's dominance with Tom taking the next 3 fairly comfortably. Match to Bromley.
