Report: | Despite FF being one of the furthest teams to travel to Bromley they arrived in good time - good enough for the BLTSC acting captain to be in the bar watching the football not relaising all were present and the games actually starting.
First on: Martin v Carlos.
Carlos didn't really have a reply to Martin's consistent pace, driven winners and fast boasts, a quick match.
Tom versus Terry.
A longer match with both players making some errors, forced or otherwise, and for twno games it could go either way, but Tom played enough winners to win in 4.
Ian v George.
George coming back after several weeks out after injury didn't want to stay on court long it seemed, so with Ian never really getting going, George hit 27 winners ( whether drops from the front of the court, back of the court or smashes into nicks ) in double quick time.
Keith v John
At least this game had some rallies. John took the first but then Keith decided to put a bit more work in, putting John in the back corners a lot and then having opportunities to win the rally. 3 -1 to Keith but a good friendly match.
Ron versus Syd.
I didn't see this but I suspect Ron had too much pace, accuracy and fitness for Syd ( well he did last time they played ).
4-1 to Bromley and a nice, friendly match, thank you FF. And Liverpool won 4-0. |
