Report: | After last weeks success against Bexley, Bromley expected a tough match with Cascades. But it was all a bit of an anti-climax.
Martin v Craig
I didn't see this but Craig did go 7-4 up in the first, presumably Martin then put his racket into his correct, left hand ?
Keith versus Hany
Has any ever told Hany not every shot has to be an attempt at a spectacular winner, especially when a large proportion are going into the tin.
Tom versus Ash
At last a match that lasted more than 3 quick games, with Ash dominating the first two, seemingly having founf Tom's weakness ( maybe spelt weak knee ? ) with front court boasts and reverse angles ( and more good shots as well ). But Tom managed to get his act together and looked in charge by the end.
Ian v Keith H
Two close games, with Ian struggling with line and length ( and the tin ), Keith playing well. But Ian found his way ( and the tin less ) and ran out the winner.
Ron versus John
Closer rallies than the scoreline suggests, Ron more mobile than his knee braces suggest and John making a few mistakes to let Ron win fairly comfortably in the end.
So maximum points to Bromley, keeping the pressure on Dulwich and Bexley for one of the top two poisoned chalice positions. |
