Report: | Anthony & Paul set the scene with a grinding match that could have gone either way until Anthony stepped up a gear and Paul could not sustain his destructive lobs. Simon and Mark's game was more chess: weighing up the strategy followed a set of darting moves. As with the game on the next court, the winner found a tad more consistency when it mattered. Even more so in the next two matches: Ray, having swung the match his way, could have pushed on to win but Nick proved just too resourceful. Tom looked insecure and heading for certain defeat, 2 games and 6-8 down, but survived several match balls before eventually finding his form and not letting Stuart get back into his rhythm. Finally, the evening's result decided, the two Peters played the least exciting squash to the fullest gallery. And the meal was deeee-licious! |
