Report

Report:First match on was Rhys vs John. Rhys started strongly and took an early lead in the first game, only for John to peg it back, however Rhys came through to take the first. The next two games were closely contested with Rhys just having the edge against John who unfortunately was finding the tin a little too often.

The Winter vs Hewer clash was the epic match, with JP’s early 2-0 lead disintegrated by strong Tunbridge resilience, and despite having a match point in the 3rd game, it took JP another 3 games to secure the match and put Dulwich into a 2-0 lead. A well contested match!

Ravi and Miles entered the fray with Ravi hoping to wrap up the match for Dulwich. Ravi produced some of his trademark boasts combined with some consistent driving and eventually proved too strong for a determined Miles. Ravi secured another victory for Dulwich ensuring the unbeaten run continues.

Oli vs Lance was another fine match with both parties attacking the ball and competing to see who could hit the ball the hardest in the first two games, the result 1-1. In the third Oli upped the ante with some impressive volley-drops and eventually proved too strong for Lance taking the next two games.

Ed vs Brendan was a dead rubber, however Brendan proved he was certainly not giving in and took the first game with some impressive shots while giving Ed the run-around. Ed had caught the tin bug in the first and managed to put a fair few shots into the tin, just above floor level! Storming into the 2nd though Ed’s no nonsense play saw him take the next three games comfortably. One can only assume the first game can be put down to the time he spent that afternoon baking numerous pies and quiche!

A fine match and pleasant company see Dulwich continue to storm Division 4 at the half-way mark of the season.
