| Report: | Cascades turned out with a more "typical" team , Neil once again playing at one and newcomer Ben playing at 2. The match started with Ben and Darren going on first and Ben showing real class leading to a quick win at no 2. Ash and Adrain had a bit of a slogging match at 5 next - the philosophy of "first one to play a drop or boast wins" playing a major part in this game. Ash managed to get a much needed win in what was a very fair and tough match. Neil and Johnny on next with another battle to see who could hit it harder - although some excellent rallies made this a pleasure to mark. The games seemed dependent on whether Johnny could continue running and whether Neil became more agressive - although again finishing in a win for Cascades. Mo (Phones 4 U) looked sharper in his match playing some good drops - good to see you back!....losing his concentration int he 3rd but, finishing the job with a 3-1 win for cascades. Finally Fatboy proved that he really is on form at the moment, clocking up another convincing win at No 4. Good Mexican meal and beers after, with a welcome return of "sotires of the sexual nature" from BBGB. A very friendly and well competed match and a good evening for all. |
