| Report: | Cascades had their "traditional" team out to play Sundridge who were without their top player.
Neil and Kev were on first - didn't get to see this as I was on court, but from all accounts, Neil showed he is certainly on form with a quick 3-0 victory.
Germaine went on against Sicknote in what was a tighter game than the score suggests, long rallies and not many drop shots from either meant it was a close fought game with Sicknote getting his first victory of the season.
Phones for you against Justin on next, with Phones for you playing for his 3rd time in two months and showing real quality in the first game (in picking up the ball!)...Justin looked in control, but Mo's shots to the centre of the court seem to phase him and, with a little more confidence, Phones for you actually started playing some shots!...Phones for you won this 3-1, but only looked in control in the last game.
Mike tore himself away from the website long enough to play his game and showed he is playing well, mercilessly winning a quick victory.
Fatboy against Andy was last up and it looked like this one was going to be close. However, Fatboy showed he is on form at the mo with some lovely nick shots finishing in a 5-0 victory for Cascades.
Mexican food and beers after with a very friendly atmosphere - the match was closer than the scores show and good luck to Sundridge Pk for the remaining matches. |
