Report: | Nick & Rich: I didn't see this one but Nick, who was clearly under pressure throughout, pulled a hamstring in the 3rd putting paid to any thought of one of his famed come-backs.
Peter & Mark: I saw most of this one, Mark looking as though he was about to get into his stride but never really did.
Paul and Panji: Panji was in determined mood tonight and was moving well, retrieving what Paul was confident were winning shots.
Kev and Andy: Nice match to watch as each player worked for the advantage. Andy produced some nice reverse angles until Kev started to read them, so returned to drives. Kev's power and nimbleness helped him to win through.
Terry and Phil: At 2-2 this was going to be the match of the evening and they didn't disappoint. Tel stretched the more agile Phil - he needed to as Phil played winners given the chance - through his rich mixture of shots, very few errors and some astonishing nicks. All played in a good spirit. So Bromley just stole a win, a rare win! |
